The Enrichment Program at DaySpring offers a variety of classes to supplement your homeschool curriculum.  Choose from one class, half day or a full day of four classes.  Click on the class name below to take you to its description.

Go under cover with us to explore the world of espionage and crime solving.  Explore modern and ancient codes and ciphers; solve puzzles and riddles, and learn about modern crime solving techniques.

Spanish Lab (9 & Up)

(Ages 9 & Up)
Age appropriate activities introducing your child to a foreign language and the countries where it is spoken.  There will be a strong emphasis on conversation with a growing use of written activities and formal grammar as the children get older.

Money, Measuring, and Me (5-8)

(Ages 5-8)
Bringing Math our of the workbook and into the real world, this class will use lots of manipulatives, games, graphs and real life problems to explore all the basic concepts involved in early elementary math.  Once your child sees that math is fun and can be easily understood, the rest is easy!

Show Me History (8-11)

(Ages 8-11)
This class will cover all the major aspects of Missouri history in an active and hands on way.  From Cahokia to Truman, from the Civil War to the World's Fair in 1904, we make history come alive with group projects, crafts, drama, and research.

Lego Mindstorm Robotix (10 & Up)

(Ages 10 & Up)
Using the LEGO Mindstorms kit (like at the Science Center) we will learn how to build and program LEGO robots. The skills learned will include building, engineering & programming the robots in preparation to be given a set of problems to solve with their robots. All of the materials for the class will be provided by and kept at DaySpring.

Add $10 monthly equipment and usage fee.

Will prepare younger students for the Lego Robotix Club, working on developing, building, engineering, and problem-solving skills with Lego's and other building materials.  There won't be robotix in this class, but students will build Lego models to solve problems.

Loose in the Lab (5-8)

(Ages 5-8)
Messy, fun and challenging science activities aimed at young enquiring minds.  Here is the perfect opportunity for the kid who loves bugs, or gloop, or taking things apart, sticking things together, planting things, sinking things, observing, counting, recording, etc. etc. etc...

Make your own passport then take your imagination on a trip round the world.  Learn about maps as you visit each continent in turn.  Celebrate holidays and discover holidays, food, and how people live in places very different to St. Louis. 

This class is a great compliment to the World Music class.
